Jacob Lake Campground

Location: 30 miles south and east of Fredonia at the intersection of US 89A and AZ 67. Blacktop highways. Elevation: 7920 feet.

Attractions: Camping and picnicking, Hiking, Sightseeing, Wildlife viewing, Naturalist programs at Jacob Lake Campground, Access to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon, Horseback riding.

Facilities: Paved roads and spurs, 53 single unit sites with tables and cooking grills, Drinking water, Toilets (flush & pit), Handicapped facilities, Visitor Center, Nature trails, Amphitheater. Concession services are available nearby. Services include: gasoline, supplies, restaurant, telephone.

Season of Use: May 15 to November 1 (depending on snowfall).

DeMotte Campground

 

Location: 25 miles south of Jacob Lake on Arizona State Highway 67. It is 7 miles north of the entrance to the North Rim of Grand Canyon National Park.

Attractions: Camping, Hiking, Sightseeing, Wildlife viewing, Naturalist programs at the DeMotte Campground, Amphitheater. Access to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon.

Facilities: Hardened roads and spurs. There are 38 single-unit sites with tables and cooking grills. Tents, trailers and motor homes are allowed, but there are no utility hookups or dump stations available. There is also drinking water, vault toilets. All facilities are barrier free. Concession services are available nearby. Services include gasoline, supplies, restaurants, lodging, and telephone.

Season of Use: May 15 to October 15 (depending on snowfall).

Indian Hollow Campground

Location: 50 miles south of Fredonia on Forest Roads 422, 425 and 232. It is then 17 miles southwest of Big Springs. Forest Roads 422 and 425 are graveled, all-weather roads, however the last 4 1/2 miles on FR 232 are advisable for pickups or similar rough road vehicles.

Attractions: Primitive camping, Hiking, Sightseeing, Wildlife viewing, Access to Kanab Creek Wilderness and Thunder River Trail in Grand Canyon National Park.

Facilities: 3 single unit sites with tables and cooking grills. Toilet (vault)

Season of Use: May 1 to late November (depending on snowfall).

Kaibab Camper Village

Location: Kaibab Camper Village is one mile southwest of Jacob Lake Inn. Travel south on Highway 67 from Jacob Lake Inn for about 1/4 mile, watching the blue RV park signs. Turn right on Forest Road 461 and go about 7/10 of a mile. The Kaibab Camper Village is on the left.

Attractions: Camping and picnicking, Hiking, Sightseeing, Wildlife viewing, Naturalist programs at Jacob Lake Campground, Access to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon, Horseback riding.

Facilities: Fire Pits, Picnic Tables, Toilets, Outside sinks, Coin operated showers, and Coin Operated Laundry. Full Hookup Sites(water/electric/sewer), Water/Electric Hookup Only Sites, Dry Sites, Tent Sites, Cabin Style Room w/ 2 Queen Beds.
